If you have internet access, we recommend applying for jobs online at
http://hr.ucr.edu/jobs. Below are the steps to
completing the application online.
A.
"Create A Profile"
·
(Located at top right corner)
An email address and password is needed to create a profile.
B.
Fill out the contact information.
C.
"My Account" page
Click on "Create Resume" or "Fill Out UCR Application"
(Note:
A resume or application is required in order to apply for jobs.)
D. How to create a resume:
·
Click on
“Create Resume”.
Click on
"Browse". Select your resume file on your
hard drive. It must be in doc or pdf format.
·
Click
"Upload Resume".
The box below the browse menu will confirm that the resume was successfully uploaded.
·
To update your resume, simply
click on browse and upload the updated resume to replace it. At this time,
you will be unable to view your resume through your profile.
E.
How to complete an application:
(Note: This section will time out after 90 minutes
and will not save your information if not
completed. Please allow 30-40 minutes
to fill out the application.)

Click on
“Fill Out UCR Application”.
Fill out all required fields on Contact section.
·
Click “Next” to go to the
Education
section. Fill out required fields.
Click “Add” to
add your education information
(you will need at least one in order to proceed to
the next section.) Once you are done with
this section, click “I am done” to
return to the section.
·
Click “Next” to go to the Language section. If you are not proficient in another
language, click “Next”. If you know a different language other then English,
type
in the
language and select your proficiency on the drop down menus. Click “Add”
to add the language. Click “Next” when you
are complete.
·
Click on
“Add Employment History”
to start your employment history. (At least one employment history
is required to proceed with the application.) Complete
all required fields. Click “Add”.
To add more employment history, click on the “Add” button. Once
you are complete, click on “I am done”.
·
Click on “Next” to go to the
Disclosure
section. Once you are done reading the
disclosure, check the box at the bottom and click on “Submit Application”.
·
To update your application, click on
“Update UCR Application” and click on a
section to update your record.
·
To
review your application,
click on “Print Out UCR Application”.
(Once you have finished the application or resume process does not mean you have
applied for the job)
F. How to
apply for a job:
·
Click on
“Browse Jobs”.
Click on the position number to view the detail
and requirements of the job.
·
If you are interested in the
position, click
“Add to Cart”. You will
automatically
be directed to the
“View Job Cart” page.
·
Here, you will have the option
of copying/pasting a cover letter before you
check the
“Apply” box and
click “Submit”. A pop-up window will confirm that you successfully
submitted your
application.
(Note: If you do not check the "Apply" box, the position
will remain in your job cart up to three months.)
2. Manual Application
Process
If you do not have internet access, you
may apply for jobs manually by completing a UCR Employment Application or a resume.

Please note that a position
number is REQUIRED on the application or resume; otherwise, it will not be considered.
You may fax, mail, or drop off your submission in person
